Free version or All-in-One?

Quantower's pricing is modular. The free version gives you one active connection, one overlay and two indicators per chart, and some connections switch on every paid feature at no cost. If yours does not, you can rent single extensions, from $20/mo for the TPO chart to $50/mo for options. Volume Analysis ($35) plus DOM Surface ($30) already comes to $65, so most active users end up on All-in-One at $70. The yearly plan works out to $49 a month, and the $1,690 lifetime licence equals about 24 months of monthly billing.

The order-flow toolkit

This is where Quantower earns its place. DOM Trader is a conventional ladder, while DOM Surface paints resting liquidity as a heatmap over time, which makes stacked and pulled orders easier to see. Volume Analysis adds cluster (footprint) charts, volume profiles and the VPOC, and the TPO chart serves market-profile readers. Market replay lets you rerun a session and practise reading it. Custom strategies and indicators use an open C# API, the same language as NinjaScript on NinjaTrader. Our order flow basics guide explains what each view shows.

Connections and Canadian access

The connections list runs past 60 brokers, exchanges and data feeds, with Interactive Brokers among them. That is the practical route for Canadians, since no Canadian broker such as Questrade appears on the list and there is no TSX feed. Data is a separate bill: market data comes from third parties and is paid to them, not to Quantower.

Windows only, for now

Quantower runs on Windows. There is no macOS version yet, and the company does not guarantee that a virtual machine will work. Mac users who want this kind of tooling should look at MotiveWave, which ships native macOS and Linux builds.

Bottom line

Quantower gives order-flow traders the most specialised toolkit in our six for the money, especially if a supported connection switches on the paid features for free. It loses points on device coverage and Canadian access, and both come down to its Windows build and its partner list. If neither affects you, it sits close to NinjaTrader on everything that happens inside the ladder.
